My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Episode 55
Interesting. CMC episodes are somewhat hit-or-miss with me, as is the episode's writer. She's written some of my favorites, and a few of my least favorites. I think the moral was good enough, if a little anvil dropped. What I really enjoyed was the comedy. Sweetie had all the best lines. Overall, a slightly above average episode.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Episode 54
I LOVE THIS EPISODE! I'm trying, but I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like. The episode has been compared to Season 2's "Lesson Zero," so I guess it's only flaw is that while it is as funny as it's predecessor, it doesn't have as much character dynamic. But on the freaking great side of things, the humor was top-notch, Pinkie having an existential crisis was awesome, and the sound of the Pinkie storm approaching shouting "Fun" was kinda horrifying.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episodes 53 and 54
WOO! Season 3 is here! Ahem. Enough celebrating, let's get down to what I thought. On the negative side King Sombra was a very lackluster villain. He had very few lines, and basically spent the episodes standing around casting shadows. Some have made the argument that he is the most competent villain yet. He didn't need to do much considering how well he planned everything out from the beginning. The problem is that no matter how competent he may be, you can't make the like him because, "Oh he planned for all of this and looks cool." If he's supposed to be a dark, cruel, ambitious baddie, have him carry on a conversation and talk in such a way that I can tell that. Or do it through actions. But instead he just stood around, making animal noises and shouting out a couple words. The main plot in general was just okay, some interesting world-building, but not one where I enjoyed all the additions.
On the good side the comedy was excellent. Meghan has shown once again she's a fantastic comedic writer, showing off Rarity and Pinkie Pie very well. The moral was one of my favorite so far, and the fact Spike got to do something was great. He's really shaping up into one of my favorite non-Mane 6 characters. There are too many small visual gags or musical cues for me to count that made me fall in love with this show all over again, though a special mention goes to the opening bit with Shining Armor looking like he's on Hoth. I was really glad Armor and Cadence showed up again, I hope they get more screentime. Overall, this was a great way to start the season. While it is sadly my least favorite season premiere so far due to the villain problem, I still give it a 9/10. There is too much awesome in this episode for it's flaws to dampen that badly. Laters.

Podcast news and Young Justice Episode 36
Okay, we have a definite date for recording: next weekend. I know it's taking forever to record this one, but the cohost and I are quite busy at the mo', and our guest this time is rarely on FiMFiction, apparently.
On non-related to pony news, ermahgard! This may be my favorite episode of Season 2, at it's high up there for favorite of the whole show. We finally learn more about the Bad Future, we see Jaime's origin, we get some amazing character bits with two of the original cast, we got an amazing villain, and I WAS RIGHT! As I told guy who was on my podcast and now a good friend Kavonde, "Are you going to get the phone? BECAUSE I CALLED IT!" I won't spoil what I called, but let's just say my favorite alien species of the DCU finally showed up after being hinted at, and they were done very well and true to the comic's spirit. Overall this episode was FANTASTIC! However, now we must wait until January for another episode. I'll post soon with my thoughts on the newest season of Who. Laters.

Young Justice Episode 34. I'M BACK BABY!
This is completely unplanned, but screw it, I'm back to being a blogger! Love this episode. The Harper to Harper character interaction was great, the Ted Kord and Jason Todd stuff was good, Jaime and Bart being friends is unexpected and cool, and the fight in the climax was intense and fun. Not sure I like that this universe's Captain Cold is really lame, and kinda fat, but whatever. Overall, a great episode!

The Legend of Korra Episodes 11 and 12
All right, this episode cemented it. Book One: Air of The Legend of Korra ties with Book Three: Fire as my favorite season in this franchise. Let's break this finale down. The action was...breathtaking. I am not going too far to suggest the action is his finale may be the best in the franchise yet. It was very funny. But most importantly it rapped up the season well, hell better than well. They didn't ruin Asami's character, Bumi got one line, General Iroh was awesome, and Katara returned. But most of all, I am amazed at the gonads on Bryan and Michael, the showrunners. They walked into Nickelodeon Studios, with an episode this dark and serious, and it aired. I don't think anyone else could have done that. There is two character's backstories, those same character's fates, and a scene with Korra, that all never would have been able to get made by anyone else on this channel. It brought the franchise to a new level, and I hope that next season is just as amazing as this one was.
Wait a second. Korra, MLP, and Game of Thrones are between seasons, and Young Justice is on another hiatus. Great...So guys, this is the last Once a Week for a while, but when these shows come back, so will I. Laters.
P.S. New theme week that lasts two weeks starting tomorrow. K, thx bai.

The Legend of Korra Episode 10, Allegrezza, An Eccentric Trespasser, and a hint to a future post
SUPER HUGE POST FOR MY RETURN!
Legend of Korra-Very good episode. The Holy Shit Quotient was through the roof, the ending was awesome, the fight scenes were cool. My only problem is that I feel the creators are going in a certain direction with Asami's character I thought was already shown to be a no go, and I hate that direction. I won't spoil my fears, but I really hope they're preparing for a fake-out.
Allegrezza by CoffeeGrunt is MLP ship fic between Vinyl and Octavia. That alone guaranteed me reading it. This fic is hilarious, silly, and amazingly heartwarming. The end had me in tears, and I really love and recommend it. However, I have two problems. I'm of the camp that Equestria would be pretty okay with gay couples, while the fic portrays it more like America 5 years ago. I also found the way Lyra and Bon Bon were characterized very different from how I always saw them. Neither is a fault really, just personal preference.
An Eccentric Trespasser is a Doctor Whooves MLP fic by Tales. It's...okay. I laughed a couple times, a couple ideas are okay, but overall I was not impressed. I really love the idea that Doctor Whooves is the Doctor turned into a pony from dimensional travel, or at least a Time Pony. But here he's just some Earth Pony who's part of a ancient society of Doctors. The perspective is also a bit wonky, switching from character to character with little notice, and I don't know why he couldn't get the same information across by having it one character per chapter. It doesn't really stick out to me, and I can't really recommend it.
Future review-I am currently down two paths out of five on a visual novel game. I will not review the game or reveal its identity until I've played it all, but I did want to say I was really enjoying it, and of the ten or so of the genre I've played it is easily the best. Laters.

Young Justice Episode 32-Bloodlines
This episode rocked. It brought a great character to the team, was funny, and developed the plot more. Not my favorite episode of the season, but very good nonetheless.
Avatar: The Legend of Korra Episode 8-When Extremes Meet
This episode was pretty good. It had some great plot twists, the fights were awesome, Team Avatar is officially back, and it was hilarious. Just another damn good episode from that great team.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra Episode 6
This episode was AMAZING! The action was great, the character interaction was superb, we got to see more of Police Chief Bei Fong, Amon was kickass, everything was incredible! It was funny, intense, exciting, and all around incredible. This series is doing to amazing that it keeps raising it's own bar, and I'm hope next week will continue to do so. Laters.
Young Justice: Invasion Episode 3
Man that was a good episode! We found out what the flying Thanagarian in going on with Aqualad, more intrigue with Miss M, and evidence for my theory. Now, at first with the ending of last season and the title of this one's, Invasion, I thought it would be Apocalypse that was invading. However, between seasons, I realized that Blue Beetle is part of the team now, so it's possible that it's actually the Reach! It's even more likely, because the Light was already working with Apocalypse, so why would they need extra time to seal the deal? Then in this episode, the alien race hiding on Earth mention "The Competitor", that they likely hired Lobo because their "Agent" attacked them recently. The Reach have hired Lobo once in the comics, and Jaime would likely be mistaken for their agent. Can't wait for next week!

Avatar: The Legend of Korra-The Spirit of Competition
Mixed episode. On the one hoof, it was an entire episode about pro-bending, which I love. The action rocked and it really showed off how awesome the sport is. On the other hoof, it was all about romance as well. I'm not usually adverse to romance in my cartoons, but here is seemed a tad forced and boring. However, it did cement Bolin as my favorite character in the show. Also, the stuff with "Water Tribe food" was really funny. All in all, a good episode, but probably my least favorite of all those out now.
Young Justice: Invasion Episode 2-Earthlings
Very good episode. Some expanding on what has happened in the time skip, but not so much there isn't any mystery left. The action was good, the dialogue great, it actually made me interested in the Adam Strange story. I've decided I like the direction this is going.

Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 2-The Dark Lands
Another good episode. My favorite parts were those in the Arya and Tyrion storylines. I was expecting more in the Theon side, but I can wait. A very funny episode, and very revealing in the motivations behind two characters.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 2, Episode 24-MMMystery on the Friendship Express
Great episode. Might be my favorite in quite a while. I always (Okay, almost always) love Pinkie Pie episodes, and mixing it with Sherlock Holmes is awesome. Their were several perfect mystery jokes, and it was generally just a funny episode. Next week is the 2-part season finale, and I can't wait to talk about it here then. Laters.
Young Justice Episode 24-Performance
This was a really good episode. The dialogue was definitely above-average, even for this show. The villain was good, the action was good, the plot was one of my favorites in a while, I like how even though it's a Robin-centric episode it developed Superboy and Speedy Red Arrow too.

Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 1
Very good start to season 2. The acting was great as usual. the person playing the Red Priestess is good, Tyrion is as awesome as ever, it was just a great way to start the season. I can't wait for next week's episode.
(I will be posting once a day again. There will be Theme Months, just not every month. Glad to be back. Also, every post will be longer than this, this post is so short due to being tired as fuck.)

My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic Season 2 Episode 23-Ponyville Confidential
Pretty good. I'm not usually that much of a fan of the CMC episodes, but this was a very good one. Several incredible jokes, and a good ending make for a very worthwhile episode.
Young Justice Episode 23-Insecurity
Things are getting dark and more serious every episode. This episode was well-made, but it did not make me happy. Of course, that's the point. So I guess it succeeded. Now I'm all anxious for next week's episode, as we wind down to the season finale.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra-Episode 2 A Leaf in the Wind
My body was not ready for this episode. It was amazing. The Pro-Bending was incredible, from the boxing-like forms and the rules, which are interesting and make sense. Tenzin and Korra were fleshed out more, and I liked what I found. Bolin and Mako are both cool, and I can't wait to see more of them. Overall, a great episode.
